Verb Forms

(chapter 6)

With the exercises in this chapter you can test your knowledge of verb forms. It starts off with a series of quizzes on present tense forms, separable verbs, irregular verbs and imperatives. It might seem easy to you, but give it a go and see whether you feel confident or whether you need to revise some of those forms. These are followed by exercises on past tense, participles and perfect tense with haben or sein and forms of the subjunctive I and II.

For more quizzes on the subjunctive, the passive and modal verbs, go to Verbs: uses

Exercise 1 - Test your knowledge on verb forms in the present tense.

Exercise 2 - Complete the questions with a verb in the second person singular in the present tense. Since the verbs are at the beginning of the sentence, they need to be capitalized.
