Zoë Sheehan Saldaña, 
Life Jacket, 2008-9
Coated & heat-sealed nylon, polyester webbing, thread, buckle, reflective tape, safety whistle, milkweed fluff.  Adult size 24×18×5", artist’s multiple, edition of 14 plus one AP.

The buoyant milkweed fluff inside the life jacket was grown and processed under the direction of Dr. Winthrop B. Phippen, Department of Agriculture, Alternative Crops Program, Western Illinois University (Macomb, IL).

Letterpress on cotton paper, sterling silver wire, laminated paper match stems, wax, glue, gelatin, ground glass, flammable chemicals. 
2×1½×⅜", edition of 50.

Produced in collaboration with Dr. Glen Kowach, Chemistry Department, City College/City University of New York (New York, NY).

Zoë Sheehan Saldaña,  Faded Glory Ruched Shoulder Tank (China Red), 2003
Originally purchased on June 18, 2003 for $9.77 from the Wal-Mart store in Berlin, Vermont.

The clothing was duplicated by hand, matching pattern, fabric, and embellishments. The tags
from the original item were sewn into the duplicate. The duplicate was returned to the rack in 
Wal-Mart for potential sale at $9.77.

Zoë Sheehan Saldaña, 6lb. Paper Bag Trade, 2005

On April 28, 2005, I traded a paper bag of my own creation for a paper bag of equal size. The trade took place at La Taza de Oro at 96 Eighth Ave. between 14 and 15 Sts. in Manhattan.
