Jeromy Hopgood

Jeromy Hopgood is a tenured Professor at Eastern Michigan University where he created the Entertainment Design & Technology program – one of the only of its kind in the country. In addition to his teaching, Jeromy has designed more than one hundred and fifty plays, musicals, dance, and opera productions. Jeromy worked at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in its Tony Award winning season alongside numerous Broadway designers and is an Artistic Associate for the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. He is also the author of QLab 3 Show Control: Projects for Live Performances and Installations and Dance Production: Design & Technology. Jeromy is a frequent guest speaker, panelist, and instructor in master classes and conventions across the country.

Kate Hopgood

The music provided with the Project Packets are original compositions by Kate Hopgood. Kate is a sound designer, composer, music director, and vocal instructor living in Michigan. Kate holds a BA in woodwind performance and has played in hundreds of orchestras, pits, and ensembles. For the last decade, her primary focus has been in composition and vocal instruction.

Kate is an award-nominated artistic associate of the Michigan Theatre Festival, where she has served as the Festival composer and sound designer since 2010. In 2012, she made her Chicago debut at the award-winning Rivendell Theatre Ensemble. Before moving to Michigan, she worked as a vocal coach and instructor at Appalachian State University in North Carolina.​
