Once and Again (TV Sitcom)
Once and Again, a series that began in 1999, was an exciting new departure in television writing. For the most part it avoided most of the clichés of potted plots and canned emotions. It managed to capture some of the texture of middle-class American family life by looking at two divorced families who are linked by the love relationship between the divorced father of one and the separated mother of another. The writing looks at the teenage and adolescent children of both marriages and manages to capture the authentic behaviors of the parents and children in a textured and nuanced canvas.
