About the Authors
Scott Arundale is an Assistant Professor at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts located in Orange, California. He received his BFA from New York University in Film Production and an MFA from USC’s Peter Stark Program. Scott created a class in Digital Intermediate Workflow, one of the first of its kind to be offered at an American university. He brings to teaching 20 years of experience as editor and producer of filmed entertainment. Scott is an Apple Certified Trainer in Final Cut Pro and Avid Certified Trainer for Media Composer. He is an associate member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE), University of Film and Video Association (UFVA) and the Digital Cinema Society (DCS).
Tashi Trieu was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and received a BFA in Film Production in 2010, with an emphasis in cinematography and digital postproduction. He received one of Chapman’s highest honors, the Einstein Award, which recognizes the enormous contribution made by students to the film program. Tashi works as a freelance digital intermediate colorist and Smoke/Flame artist. In addition he has served as a digital workflow consultant on commercials and feature films shooting with the Red and SI-2K in Stereo 3D. With a background in visual effects, 3D animation and compositing, Tashi brings a well-rounded approach to new projects, which are consistently pushing the limits of technology.
