NeuroLab was created by RHSC for the third edition of Neurophysiology, and originally consisted of just the interactive exhibits. It was written in Visual Basic, a convenient language for developing interactive programs of this kind, but a nuisance for Mac users. For this, fifth, edition, the interactive exhibits were recreated in Java, allowing wider use, including web deployment. The arduous work of reprogramming was mostly undertaken by Dr Sanjay Manohar, with help from Dr Robin Marlow and Dr Dora Wood.
The basic sound demonstrations were created by RHSC. The neurological videos were made by Dr Dunecan Massey and Dr Chris Allen, formerly Clinical Dean of Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with assistance from Dr Patrick Byrne. The material for NeuroScan and NeuroSlice was put together by Dr Alice Miller, and the Java programs were written by Dr Sanjay Manohar and Dr Robin Marlow. Much of the development of this material was supported by an award to RHSC from the Institute for Learning and Teaching.

Whilst the advice and information in this book are believed to be true and accurate at the date of going to press, neither the author nor the publisher can accept any legal responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions that may be made. In particular (but without limiting the generality of the preceding disclaimer), every effort has been made to check drug dosages; however it is still possible that errors have been missed. Furthermore, dosage schedules are constantly being revised and new side-effects recognized. For these reasons the reader is strongly urged to consult the drug companies' printed instructions before administering any of the drugs recommended in this book.
