Here are two examples of a two-minute sportscast. Each runs 2:00 (1:59.5 to be more precise). The companion script is provided so you can follow along as you listen.
Notice the use of both actuality and voicer sound cuts. Each cut contains information about the length and outcue for the sound file. The announcer’s text is in all CAPS to help distinguish it from the actuality information.

- Here you’ll find some sample voicer scripts. Although there are no audio files to accompany each story, now’s your chance to give it a try. Record each story. Notice how the punctuation is used to help pace your delivery. Ideally, each voicer should run no more than 30 seconds. You may need to edit the copy or rewrite the story in order to meet the time goal. Have fun!
