Welcome to the website for the third edition of Trask’s Historical Linguistics, revised by Robert McColl Millar. On this site you will find some material for students and some for teachers.

The material for students consists of points for discussion in relation to what is covered in the book, but also contains some interesting exercises which are designed to give you a deeper understanding of several of the fields covered in the book.

The section dedicated to teachers is primarily a discussion of the exercises that follow each chapter.
