The Authors
Rebekah Modrak is an artist whose work explores, honors, and parodies aspects of existing works of art. Her recreations incorpate implausible elements into the main event. She often uses eBay as a venue to consider shared concerns between art + commerce, each involving questins of labor, production, and distribution. She is an Associate Professor in the School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan where she teaches courses involving photography, perception, animation, mixed media, and photographic history. This program focuses on creative skills that are common to all practices rather than emphasizing disciplinary distinctions.
