Welcome to the online companion for Introducing Linguistics. The resources provided here are designed to support students in independent study, and to help teachers of linguistics in preparing their classes. The book and these companion materials have been prepared with undergraduate university students in mind, but may also be useful for studying at teaching at other levels.
You will find that this resource is split into four main sections: Language Structures, Mind and Society, Applications, and Methods. Each of these corresponds to a section of the textbook, and each book chapter in these sections has companion materials that students and teachers can use to enhance their learning and teaching. These resources include practice exam questions and sample seminar materials, as well as web links to external resources.
Throughout Introducing Linguistics, you will also find QR codes. These are included to allow you to simply scan the code to access resources recommended by the authors.
