The Accent Bias in Britain website https://accentbiasbritain.org/ reports on a project which examines British attitudes to accents, particularly in relation to how job candidates are evaluated. Led by sociolinguists Erez Levon, Devyani Sharma and Dominic Watt, it provides a concrete illustration of how standard language ideologies can have a real impact on people’s lives, and provides training both for recruiters interviewing candidates, and for job applicants who might be affected by accent discrimination.

Language on the Move, https://www.languageonthemove.com/, edited by Ingrid Piller from Macquarie University with a large team of contributors, is a rich and extensive sociolinguistics research site which addresses questions around multilingualism, language learning, and globalization and social justice. It includes a regularly-updated blog which addresses issues in the news and reports on cutting-edge research.
